Wandering
So, I got to go to Coachella for free this year. My pass also allowed me to wander around places after/before hours. It was nice seeing everything empty. It was eerily beautiful. I wish I took my DSLR instead of my point and shoot, but I’m happy with the few photos I took. I was too engrossed in being there to take more.

Foresight
Spent the weekend at USC for the Fracas! Improv Festival. I am exhausted, but so glad that I went. By the way, in case you couldn’t tell, she’s a traffic cone.

A sense of permanence
I don’t necessarily believe in forever, but I do believe in the present. And by George, the present is going very, very well.

Foreign
I don’t get fall in San Diego, so it’s kind of nice seeing the luscious reds and oranges in the springtime in Texas, even if this is some kind of Japanese tree. The globalization of plants - who’d a thunk it?

Nine
I learned how to play pool last night and did pretty well for a beginner, if I may say so myself.

Simple and Preen
Apparently it’s peacock mating season. This guy preened himself all around the zoo. I’m sure he was glad when I left him alone and let him spruce himself up for the ladies. In my opinion, though, he’s already quite handsome.

Plumage
My boyfriend took me to the Austin Zoo today. The first thing we saw was a beautiful peacock wandering around the entrance. His tail feathers dragged for at least a yard and a half behind him. As I was chasing him down like the five year olds were, I got lucky and snapped this shot. I like the way the feathers change in the light. Simply lovely.

Sweethearts
Spending my Valentine’s Day with diabetes in heart form and podcasts for my upcoming midterms. I’m so romantic, I know. Kinda sad that I got the kind designed for preteens, but they still taste the same haha.
Happy Valentine’s!
